The Small Business Digital Marketing Meetup group led by Sanju was nice enough to invite me to come speak to their group in Glen Ellyn, IL. on 2/26/20
Here is a link to their group to learn more about them: https://www.meetup.com/Small-Business-Social-Media-Marketing/
They hold free seminars and workshops on small business marketing topics like advertising on Facebook, picking the best newsletter program, Effective use of landing pages for your business website, Social Media Channels, When to use each one, WordPress for small business websites and more..
There is a new topic every few weeks so I would sign up if you live close to Glen Ellyn and want to learn more about online marketing.
Besides going over the slides in this seminar we will also be optimizing a Google My Business account live, adding new pictures and a post to show you what it is like to manage and optimize your own GMB.
If you have any questions about SEO for your small business leave them in the comments below and I’ll answer them in a timely manner.

How did I do? leave my business a Google review: https://g.page/1on1-seo-training/review?rc
Since I have an online based business only and don’t want anyone showing up at my home office can I still have a Google My Business listing?
Yes Robin, A few people asked about not wanting to show their home address on their listing and to just show their service area. You will still need to add your address to get your listing verified and then hide it afterwards. You might be missing out on potential customers that way though. Here is a link to a study showing the difference in views between the two options. https://www.oneupweb.com/blog/content-marketing-seo/hiding-your-address-on-google-my-business-you-should-reconsider/ Thank you to everyone that attended and asked some great questions.
